“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants” Psalm 116:15
Our dear brother Nicholas Skilling was born on 29th March 1951. He was baptised into Christ on 31st August 2014.
Nicholas suffered from diabetes and then had a heart attack a few years ago leading to kidney failure. Because of these health challenges and the need to go for dialysis three times a week his wife, Rayehe, became his full-time carer.
Nicholas had a couple of heart attacks at the beginning of November and fell into a coma. On 8th December 2014, at the age of 63, he passed away and went to be with the Lord.
We remember Nicholas’s devotion to knowing and living for God, his eagerness to come out to every meeting and to joyfully serve even though he was often feeling unwell and tired. He had a pure, childlike heart and loved God wholeheartedly.
We thank God for his life and although we will all miss him, we are comforted in the knowledge that he died as a disciple of Christ – 1Thessalonians 4:13-18
Funeral plans are as follows:
Date: Monday 22nd December 2014
Time: 11:30 am.
Venue: St Mary’s Hornsey Rise, Ashley Road, London N19 3AD.
The burial will be after the service at:
Trent Park Cemetery, Cockfosters Road, Barnet, EN4 0DZ.
On Sunday 7th December the London teens celebrated Christmas together.
It was a wonderful night of fun, food and farewells.
The teens got the chance to wish Mull and Jo good luck on their journey to Belfast and thank them for all the love that has been shown over the years. Mulligan and Jo Price have had a huge spiritual impact on so many teens of different ages and cultures, helping to bring them to Christ. It has been amazing to watch.
Yet again, there was some awesome dancing with some even better costumes!
Sophie and Andreas, as well as some “One-Year Challengers”, did a fantastic job putting everything together making the night one to remember.
“Thank-you” to everyone who put in so much energy and love to give us a special night together.
Today’s lunchtime Bible discussion is entitled “Godly Commodity Trading“.
Hope to see you there, kind regards,
Kevin
