Urgent Prayer Request

Uncategorized

We received this from Paul Rowden last night ….

“Bayo Ajetunmobi is a member in the East who had an emergency admission to hospital on Thursday with a severe migraine. He has since had an operation to remove fluid from the brain, but has so far not come round after the operation despite a number of attempts by the medical staff.

Please pray for him to come round, and to make a full recovery.

Please also pray for his wife Joanne and 3 children, the eldest (Daniel) of which is a disciple in the East Teen ministry.

In Christ

Good News from India: Campus Ministry – Trichy

Uncategorized

TrichyCampusHere is some good news sent to us from the Campus ministry in Trichy.

“Trichy started the campus ministry in the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY two year ago. VINAY moved to Trichy to join this college and was the only disciple on that campus. After that PRASHANTH from Hyderabad who grew up in the church joined the campus as a fresher. Both Vinay and Prashanth came to church in “packs” with their NIT friends.

In April Prashanth accepted Jesus as Lord and was baptised. His actions inspired many of their friends to study the Bible. Three months ago, VINAY baptised his classmate TITUS who had come to Prasanth’s baptism and was inspired to become a disciple. Now at least 10 friends are studying the Bible and are interested in the activities of the church.

The THREE together are making things happen. Every day they have a morning prayer time with their friends and every night at 10pm have a devotional in their room where 10 or more of their friends join their group and Vinay preaches to them.

On Monday VINAY took the lead in organising a Christmas celebration at their campus which included a video of a powerful illustration emphasising Christ’s sacrifice. He preached the word and shared his life to a crowd of over 150 which included even professors and teachers. Now we have PRABHU, KEERTHANA, DANIEL, ANDERSON and AARON who are studying the bible. The two seniors, VINAY and TITUS are fasting from non-vegetarian food until 2 more new disciples are baptised in the NIT campus.

One of the best things about the group is the way it is from so many different areas. In the picture, named from the right, from Shillong, Daniel and Anderson, from Andhra Pradesh, Neeraj, from Kerala, Ashley, from Tamil Nadu, Titus & Vinay, from Assam. Julian, from Malaysia, Aaron, and from Jharkhand, Subodh.

Please continue to pray for these young men and women. For further details please contact Andrew at andrewsanthanaraj@hotmail.com

BiratnagarBiratnagar Mission

Biratnagar is a sub-metropolitan city in south east Nepal. In Nepali “birat” means huge and “nagar” means city. The name “Biratnagar” for the city comes from the name of King Birat.

The Katmandu Church in Nepal is planning to send a mission team to Biratnagar (the second largest city of Nepal) in January 2014. Please keep their endeavours in your prayers.
