This news has come in from our sister congregation in Trichy, India …. (the story has been edited)
“Trichy is a city with a church in Tamil Nadu. The congregation consists of 89 members (28 men and 61 women). The women in the church decided to have their annual women’s day on 24th March and prayed that, as a result of the event, 12 souls would be added to God’s kingdom. The service on 24th broke the previous record attendance, and 306 new friends came along.
Five women became Christians during the first three weeks of April. Then, on 24th of April history was written as 8 souls (7 women and 1 man) were added to the kingdom. This day will stay in the memory of the Trichy disciples for ever. All of them glorified God with great joy.”
Dear Church Family,
There are fantastic opportunities to help out at the two youth camps this summer. Registration is at http://www.iccm-events.info. In recent years we have had to turn volunteers away because we have had so many offers of help. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
The registration for the pre-teens & teens themselves will be online very soon.
Cuffley Camp Outdoor Centre, Carbone Hill near Potters Bar, Herts EN6 4PR
There are many voices out there telling us what to do, but God’s voice is the strongest and purest. Abraham and his descendants lived in tents as they listened to this voice which promises hope and a future full of blessings.
The preteens will be living this experience at Cuffley Camp, listening to God’s voice, understanding God, His purpose and the relationship He desires. It is going to be a great time to bond through great bible lessons, fun activities, games, and spiritual discussions.

This report just in from our friends in India ….
“Kollam, or Quilon, is an old sea port and town on the Arabian coast in Kerala, India, on the Ashtamudi Lake, that took on the title God’s Own Country. Kollam, once called Desinganadu, had a sustained commercial reputation from the days of the Phoenicians and the Romans.
The Kollam District is a veritable Kerala in miniature and is gifted with sea, lakes, plains, mountains, rivers, streams, backwaters, forest, vast green fields and tropical crops of every variety. It is the fourth-largest city-village in Kerala, after Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kozhikode.
The good news is a mission team will be sent in a few days to Kollam. Please keep the mission team in your prayers.”
On Saturday 27th April 2013 the London church hosted “It’s Your Life!” a women’s evening attended by nearly 1000 disciples and guests from all over England and from as far afield as Germany and France. With tickets completely sold out by the end of March and in hot demand, excitement had plenty of time to build and the event certainly did not disappoint.
Guest speaker Carol Mc Guirk from the Paris church delivered a powerful yet relatable message that will be remembered for years to come as we were reminded to “put the big rocks in first”; to keep our walk with God as our very top priority and to fit everything else around God.
The London Teen Choir’s outstanding performance had an impact on women of all ages. We were treated to a beautiful performance of The Flower Duet by our string quartet and enjoyed a dramatic presentation portraying an ordinary woman’s struggle to get to grips with the various faces she feels obliged to wear to get through life. Stunning artwork and costumes were produced especially for the day.
Moving testimonies were shared by women who have been through incredibly challenging situations but whom God has rescued by his amazing grace. We were supported by dozens of the most serving, best-dressed brothers in town who served as ushers for the event, for whom we are very grateful.
Some guests who attended on Saturday have already started studying the Bible this week. Older disciples found the event refreshing and invigorating; seeds of kingdom dreams were planted in the hearts of younger women and we were all thrilled to see what God can and will do in the lives of women who believe. And to God be all the glory.
